OLD TIMER'S CABBAGE SLAW 
2 c. shredded red cabbage
1 sm. onion, finely chopped
1 tbsp. horseradish
1 c. shredded green cabbage
2 c. finely shredded tart apple

DRESSING:

1/3 c. honey
3/4 c. salad oil
Dash of ground black pepper
1/3 c. white wine vinegar
Dash salt

Put cabbage, onion and apple into large salad bowl. Toss slightly. Add horseradish. For dressing, combine honey, vinegar, oil and spices in screw top jar. Shake until honey is dissolved. Pour dressing over cabbage mixture, tossing to blend well. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving for flavors to blend. Toss gently before serving.
