BEST LEMON BARS 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
Grated lemon rind
2 c. flour, sifted
1/2 c. powdered sugar
4 eggs, beaten
6 tbsp. lemon juice

Blend butter, 2 cups flour and powdered sugar. Pat mixture into 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until browned. Sift remaining flour and baking powder. Add eggs, lemon juice and rind. Blend well, spread over the crust. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool and cut into squares. Dust with powdered sugar if desired. Makes 3 dozen cookie bars.
