ALMOND GLAZED CAKE 
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
Dash salt
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. butter

Beat egg and sugar until thick. Mix in vanilla, flour, baking powder and salt. Scald milk, add butter until melted. Add to flour mixture. Pour into greased 8 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees about 35 minutes.

ALMOND TOPPING:

1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. sliced almonds
2 tsp. flour
2 tbsp. milk

Bring ingredients to a boil. Spread topping on cake. Place in broiler until bubbled and browned, 3 to 5 minutes.
