JEAN'S POPPY SEED MUFFINS 
2/3 c. sugar
4 tbsp. butter (softened)
1/2 tsp. shredded orange peel
2 eggs
2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. milk
1/2 c. nuts
4 tbsp. poppy seeds

Mix together first 3 ingredients. Add egg. Mix well. Stir together dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture alternately milk. Mix. Fold in nuts and poppy seeds. Fill paper lined cups 1/2 full. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
