HOLIDAY CHOCOLATE CHIP 
1 c. butter
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. Quaker oats (quick or old fashioned uncooked)
1 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt, optional
1 c. semi sweet chocolate chips
1 c. colored M&M candies
1 c. coarsely chopped nuts

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat first 6 ingredients until smooth. Combine oats, flour, soda and salt; mix well. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 3 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes for chewy or 10 to 12 minutes for crisp cookies. Cool 2 minutes; remove to wire rack. Cool completely. Makes about 4 dozen.
