BUTTERCREAM FROSTING 
3 egg whites
1 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. milk

Whip egg whites. Add sugar, one tablespoon at a time, and continue to whip until egg whites form peaks. Scald milk and add to egg whites while beating. Add butter, 1 teaspoon at a time. Then add shortening and vanilla. Beat for a long time until desired consistency.
