PEANUT BUTTER CAKE 
2 1/4 c. self-rising flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour, salt and sugar into bowl. Add Crisco, milk and beat well, until moist. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Makes 3 (9") layers. Let stand and cool before spreading icing.

ICING:

2 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. can milk
2 tbsp. vanilla flavoring
1 stick butter
1 c. peanut butter

Mix sugar, milk and butter in saucepan. Let boil 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Add peanut butter and vanilla. Beat until creamy. Spread over cake.
