OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter or lard
3 eggs
1 c. wine
1 c. milk
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped nuts
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Mix together, then stir in 3 1/2 cups oatmeal (if cookies are flat, put more oatmeal in). Grease and flour cookie sheet. Drop 1/2 to 1 teaspoon size. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Store in plastic container in a cloth damp with wine.
