SPLIT PEA SOUP 
1 c. dried peas
1 qt. cold water
4 stalks celery
1 sm. onion
2 tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
Ham bone
1/8 tsp. pepper
Salt to taste

Wash peas and put in kettle with water. Add rest of ingredients and cook for 5 or 6 hours. Thicken with the flour and milk mixture. Add a dollop of whipped cream on top of each bowl of soup when serving.
