POPPY SEED CAKE 
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. poppy seeds
1 1/2 c. plus 2 tbsp. oil
2 tsp. almond flavoring
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla

Place dry ingredients in large mixing bowl. Add all the rest of the ingredients and beat for two minutes or until well mixed. Bake in a well greased bundt pan, 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Test with toothpick. Remove from pan. Poke cake with toothpick and while still hot pour glaze over top. Glaze should be hot. Prepare glaze while cake is baking.

GLAZE: Place in 2 quart measure for microwave, 3/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup orange juice, and 2 teaspoon butter. Microwave on high 3 minutes. Stir to dissolve sugar. Add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and 1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
