CHEESE SPREAD 
1 egg
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
1/2 stick butter
1 tbsp. garlic bits, if desired
1 loaf French bread, sliced in half lengthwise

Mix all ingredients until blended. Spread on cut surface of bread (it will appear quite thick but it will melt). Place under broiler until toasted golden brown. Quite good with main course soups.
