AUNT KATHRYN'S SLICED PICKLES 
4 qt. very sm. cucumbers, sliced very, very thin
6 med. white onions, sliced thin
3 cloves of garlic
1 green pepper, cut in narrow strips
1 red pepper, cut in narrow strips
1/3 c. salt
3 c. white vinegar
5 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
2 tbsp. mustard seeds
Cracked ice

To sliced cucumbers add onions and green & red peppers. Add salt and cover with cracked ice. Mix thoroughly and let stand 3 hours. Drain. Combine sugar, celery seed, mustard seed, vinegar and heat through. Don't cook too long. Mix with cucumber, onion and pepper and put in jars and seal. Makes 6 pints.
