"MONKEY CAKE" #1 
2 c. sugar
3 tsp. cinnamon
4 (8 oz.) pkgs. buttermilk biscuits
1 1/2 sticks butter
1 c. raisins and/or nuts if desired

Put 1 cup sugar and 2 tsp. cinnamon into large mixing bowl and shake. Combine 1 cup sugar, 1 tsp. cinnamon, butter and raisins/nuts in a medium saucepan; boil and keep warm.

Take 2 cans biscuits, cut into quarters, put in bowl with cinnamon sugar and shake. Grease a large tube pan. Put in tube pan; pour half of syrup on top. Repeat with remaining biscuits and syrup. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
