CHERRY TORTE 
3 egg whites
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. soda crackers, crushed
1/3 c. pecans
1 pkg. Dream Whip
1/4 c. sugar
1 can cherry pie filling

Beat egg whites and 2 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar until stiff. Add sugar and vanilla. Fold in soda crackers and pecans. Bake the above in 9 inch square pan 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool.

Mix Dream Whip follow package directions. Add 1/4 cup sugar. Spread on torte-spoon on cherry pie filling. Chill 6 hours.
