KOSHER PICKLES 
7 qt. water
1 qt. vinegar
3 c. salt
Dill
Cucumbers
Red pepper pod
Clove garlic

Bring water, vinegar, and salt to a boil. Chop the dill, garlic, and red pepper pod and place in the bottom of each jar. Pack the cucumbers in the jars, cover with the hot liquid and seal hot. Store for 10 days to 2 weeks. The garlic may be omitted if desired.
