BREAD PUDDING 
1 qt. diced dry bread
1/4 c. raisins
4 whole eggs
1/4 c. sugar
1 pt. whole milk
1 oz. butter
Grated lemon rind (optional)
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Place diced bread with raisins in a buttered 9x12 inch dish. Mix thoroughly the rest of ingredients. Pour over bread and let soak for 20 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees about 30 minutes. Test with knife to make certain it is baked through.
