LIGHT DINNER ROLLS 
1/2 c. sugar
2 pkgs. yeast
2 eggs
4 c. flour
3/4 c. warm water
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening

Proof yeast in water (3/4 cup) with a tsp. of the sugar (from the recipe ingredients). Add the rest of the ingredients with 2 cups of the flour. Beat well. Add remaining flour and beat until smooth.

Cover and let double. Divide into 2 parts. Roll each out in a circle and cut into 16 pie shapes. Roll up, starting at the wide end. Place on greased sheet. Cover and let double. Bake at 400 degrees. Makes 36 small rolls. Bake until golden brown, about 6-10 minutes.
