CHICKEN CHOWDER SUPPER 
1 (2 1/2 lb.) broiler fryer chicken
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 qts. water
1 med. onion, sliced
2 stalks celery, sliced
2 carrots, sliced
1 (2 oz.) env. chicken noodle soup mix

Place chicken, salt, pepper and water in a large soup kettle. Bring to a boil; cover and simmer 40 minutes. Add onion, celery and carrots. Cook, covered about 20 minutes or until chicken is tender. Remove chicken and cut meat from bones. Return meat to soup stock. Heat soup, add soup mix and simmer 7 to 10 minutes.
