BEER BATTER FISH 
1 lb. fish fillets or cooked shrimp large
3 to 4 tbsp. Bisquick baking mix
1 c. Bisquick baking mix
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/2 c. beer

Heat oil (1 1/2 inches deep) in heavy saucepan or fryer to 350 degrees. Lightly coat fish with 3 to 4 tablespoons mix. Mix 1 cup Bisquick, salt, egg and beer until smooth. Dip fish into batter, letting excess drip into bowl. Fry until golden brown, about 2 minutes on each side. Let drain. Great with hush puppies and cole slaw.
