1/2 c. butter 2 tbsp. sugar 5 c. cocoa powder 1 tsp. vanilla 1 egg, beaten 2 c. graham crumbs 1 c. coconut 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1/4 c. butter 3 tbsp. Birds custard powder 2 tbsp. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 2 c. icing sugar (10X) 3 sqs. semi-sweet chocolate 2 tsp. butter Melt 1/2 cup butter and add the sugar, cocoa, vanilla and beat the egg in while mixture is still hot so the egg thickens it. Add crumbs, coconut and chopped nuts. Mix and spread in a 9 x 9 inch pan. In bowl, beat 1/4 cup butter, custard powder, milk, vanilla and icing sugar until smooth and spread over crust. Melt the chocolate and butter and spread over filling layer. When set at room temperature, cut into squares, then refrigerate if desired. |
