MISSISSIPPI MUD CAKE 
LAYER I:

1 stick butter, room temperature
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 c. flour

Mix well, then put in 9x13-inch pan. Spray pan with Pam. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool for 2 hours.

LAYER II:

1 c. powdered sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 (13 oz.) Cool Whip
13 oz. cream cheese

Blend by hand and spread on crust. Save 1/4 to spread on top.

LAYER III:

1 lg. pkg. instant chocolate pudding
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. milk

Mix and pour on top of cream cheese mix. Grate a chocolate bar and sprinkle on top. Chill at least 2 hours before serving.
