1 lb. lard (shortening or butter) 2 lbs. sifted flour Grated rind & juice of 1 sm. orange 2/3 c. white wine Put wine, orange juice and rind in a bowl with the lard or shortening. Mix well. Add flour until dough is formed. Work well on the table. Put to cool overnight. Roll out thin and cut with cookie molds. Cook for 30 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Immediately after they are done dust both sides with powdered sugar. Makes about 50. |
