3 sticks butter 1 1/4 c. sugar 3 c. plain flour 10 c. pecans (chopped) 1 lb. candied cherries (chopped) 1 lb. candied pineapple (chopped) 5 tbsp. wine 1/2 tsp. allspice 1/2 tsp. cloves 1/2 tsp. cinnamon Cream butter and sugar, add flour to which spices have been added. Add other ingredients, mix. Dough will be stiff. Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees 12 to 15 minutes. Cool before stacking. Place wax paper between layers. These cookies will keep quite a while in closed container. |
