FRIEDA'S TOFFEE SQUARES 
Saltine crackers
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
12 oz. chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line jelly roll pan (15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1) with crackers side by side to cover bottom. Bring brown sugar and butter to boil in saucepan. Boil 5 minutes, stirring (to keep from burning use medium heat). Pour over crackers. Bake at 350 degrees for 7 minutes.

Sprinkle 12-ounce bag chocolate chips over top and spread with knife as they melt. Cool and cut into squares. They often break into uneven pieces, but they taste heavenly no matter what the shape.
