2 (3 lb.) cans pork and beans
1/2 c. dark Karo syrup
1 c. dark brown sugar
1 lg. white onion, chopped
1/2 c. ketchup
1 tsp. prepared mustard
6-8 strips bacon

Mix all ingredients except bacon in 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Lay strips of bacon on top. Bacon may also be cut into 1 inch pieces. Bake covered about 2 1/2 hours at 325 degrees. Uncover and continue baking another hour or more to brown bacon. Serves 12-14. May be doubled or tripled.
