CALIFORNIA RANGER COOKIES 
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup nuts, chopped
2 cups oatmeal
2 cups cornflakes, crushed

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Beat until well blended shortening, butter, sugars and eggs. Add rest of ingredients and mix well.

Drop by teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes.
