APPLE CRISP
4 lg. cooking apples, sliced
4 tbsp. lemon juice
4 tbsp. maple syrup
1 c. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. light brown sugar
8 tbsp. butter

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Toss apples with lemon juice. Arrange apples in overlapping circles in a buttered pie plate. Drizzle maple syrup over apples.

In a bowl combine flour, salt, and brown sugar. Cut in butter as if making a pie crust but do not over mix. Texture should resemble large crumbs. Scatter mixture over apples. Bake for 30 minutes or until top is crisp.
