3 lb. sugar (6 c.)
1 1/2 c. water
2 1/2 c. mashed strawberries
1 tsp. alum

Boil water 10 minutes then put in mashed strawberries and boil 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add alum. Pour into hot jars and cool.
