SWEDISH KRINGLE 
1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter or Imperial butter

Mix as for pie crust. Divide into 2 parts and flatten each onto a cookie sheet making each about 3 x 12 inches.

SECOND PART:

1 c. water
1/2 c. butter or Imperial butter

Heat to boiling. Remove from heat and immediately add 1 cup flour. Beat until smooth. Add 3 eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one. Add 1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring. Spoon second part onto first part and spread. Bake at 350 degrees for 55-60 minutes.

Top with powdered sugar icing flavored with almond. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and decorate with maraschino cherries. Do not store in plastic or tight container as kringle will become soggy.
