A NORWEGIAN'S FAVORITE ITALIAN
SUPPER
 
1 lb. ground beef or ground turkey
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
3/4 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
8 oz. Philadelphia cream cheese, cubed
3/4 c. milk
2 c. egg noodles, cooked
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
3/4 tsp. Italian seasoning

Brown meat and onions; drain. Add tomato paste, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning and water; simmer 5 minutes.

Combine cream cheese and milk in 2 quart saucepan. Cook over low heat until smooth (or else cook in microwave until smooth, stirring often). Add noodles, green pepper and Parmesan cheese; mix well. Pour 1/2 noodle mixture into 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Top with 1/2 meat mixture and repeat layers. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
