AMERICAN LASAGNA 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles, cooked
1 tbsp. oil
1 lb. ground beef
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 med. can tomatoes
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. oregano
1 (8 oz.) pkg. Swiss cheese, cubed
1 (12 oz.) container cottage cheese
Parmesan cheese

Brown beef and garlic in hot oil. Add tomato paste, tomatoes, salt, pepper and oregano. Simmer, covered, for 20 minutes. In an 8 x 12 inch baking dish alternate layers of cooked noodles, Swiss cheese, and cottage cheese and small amount of meat sauce. Cover with rest of hot meat sauce. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese.
