BEEF CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef, gently fried (use amount according to family)
4 med. to lg. onions, sliced thin and fried to tender
2 to 3 c. cooked rice (not minute rice)
1 can tomatoes (I like a lg. can), save the juice

In a 2 quart casserole, put in a layer of rice, then onions, tomatoes, and beef. Repeat if necessary. Pour on some of the tomato juice. Butter 2 slices of white bread and cube and cover beef. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until bread is toasted.
