OATMEAL DROP COOKIES 
1 stick softened Blue Bonnet butter
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. Quaker Oats, quick or regular (not instant)
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. chocolate bits (optional)

Cream together butter, sugars, egg and vanilla. Sift flour, baking soda and baking powder. Add oats, nuts and chocolate bits if desired. Mix all ingredients. Drop by teaspoon onto Pam greased cookie sheet. Flatten with fork dipped in cold water. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes delicious crisp cookies.
