OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 cups oatmeal
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 325°F.

In a large bowl cream together butter and sugars until smooth. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in vanilla.

Combine flour, baking soda, salt and oatmeal. Stir into wet ingredients until just blended. Mix in walnuts and chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 325°F for 12 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes and then transfer to a cooling rack.
