"NO COOK" PICKLES | |
1 gallon sliced cucumbers 2 tbsp. alum 4 tbsp. salt 2 tbsp. pickle spiced tied in cloth 4 c. vinegar SYRUP: 2 c. sugar to each quart of pickles Place all ingredients except sugar in large crock. Cover with cold water. Let stand 6 weeks. Rinse cucumbers and drain. Let stand overnight in 2 cups per quart - sugar and cover with water. Can as usual. |
