3/4 c. shortening of choice
2 c. sugar
2 unbeaten eggs
3 heaping tbsp. cocoa
2 1/2 c. unsifted flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. boiling water
2 tsp. baking soda mixed with 1 c. hot water

Combine all ingredients together. Bake 1 hour at 325 degrees.
