CHOCOLATE MERINGUE PIE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/4 c. cocoa
2 c. milk
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. butter

Mix sugar and cocoa in boiler. Add 1 1/2 cups of milk. Mix cornstarch with remaining 1/2 cup milk, then pour into boiler. Stir well. Add beaten egg yolks. Be sure above ingredients are well mixed. Cook in oven on medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add vanilla and butter. For smoother consistency, beat with mixture a few minutes. Top with meringue.

MERINGUE:

Beat whites at high speed until frothy. Add 1/4 cup sugar and continue beating until stands in peaks. Bake at 400 degrees until lightly brown.
