MARINARA SAUCE 
4 tbsp. olive oil
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 med. onion, chopped
2 to 3 (28 oz.) cans whole peeled tomatoes, broken up or ready-cut peeled tomatoes
10 fresh basil leaves
Salt & pepper to taste
Grated cheese to taste

Heat the olive oil and gently saute the onion. When onion begins to soften, add garlic and saute until very lightly browned. Add tomatoes, basil, salt and pepper. Simmer for 20 to 30 minutes. After adding to cooked pasta, sprinkle grated cheese.
