SWEET & SOUR BEEF STEW 
2 lb. lean beef stew meat, cut in 1" cubes
1 1/2 c. sliced carrots
1/2 c. sliced onion
8 oz. can tomato sauce (1 c.)
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
4 tsp. cornstarch
Hot cooked noodles

Place first 7 ingredients in a crock pot along with 1/2 cup water and 1 teaspoon salt. Mix, cover and cook on low until meat is tender (approximately 8-12 hours; a couple of hours of extra simmering is not a problem). Turn pot to high.

Combine cornstarch and 1/4 cup cold water; add to beef mixture. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Serve over noodles. Makes 4 servings.
