OATMEAL BREAD 
1 c. quick oatmeal
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. whole-wheat flour
1 tsp. salt
2 c. boiling water
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. lukewarm water
5 c. white flour

Combine oatmeal, brown sugar, butter, whole-wheat flour and salt. Stir in 2 cups boiling water.

In a separate bowl, dissolve dry yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm water. After batter cools to a lukewarm temperature, add the yeast mixture. Stir in the 5 cups white flour, 1/2 cup at a time. Knead for 10 minutes. Place in a greased glass bowl, cover and let rise until doubled. Punch down and separate into 2 loaves. Let rise again.

Bake at 350°F for 30 to 40 minutes.
