TURTLE CAKE 
1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
1/2 c. butter
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (18 1/2 oz.) chocolate cake mix
1 c. chopped pecans

Melt caramels and butter; remove from heat and stir in milk. Mix well. Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Pour 2 cups of batter into greased and floured 9x13 inch pan. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from oven and spread caramel mixture evenly over cake. Spread remaining cake batter over caramel mixture. Top with nuts. Return to oven and bake 30 minutes more or until cake springs back when lightly touched. Cool before cutting.
