CORN BREAD 
1 1/2 c. yellow corn meal
1/2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
2 eggs, lightly beaten
4 tbsp. oil or melted butter

In bowl combine corn meal, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and soda. In another bowl whisk together buttermilk, egg and oil. Form a well in center of dry ingredients and stir in liquid mixture until just combined. Will be lumpy.
