BUTTERMILK PIE 
1 deep-dish shell
3 eggs
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter, melted
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. buttermilk
nutmeg

Prebake unpricked shell in 425°F oven 4 to 5 minutes. Blend together eggs, sugar, melted and cooled butter, flour and vanilla. Gradually stir in buttermilk. Pour into shell and sprinkle with nutmeg.

Bake in 350°F oven 35 to 40 minutes, until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on rack. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
