"JEWISH" NOODLE PUDDING | |
2 eggs 1/2 lb. lg. curd creamed cottage cheese 1 c. sour cream 1/2 lb. broad noodles 1/4 lb. melted butter Salt (opt.) 2 to 4 tbsp. sugar (more or less may be used) Cook noodles in boiling salted water until almost done. Drain and blanch in cold water, set aside. In large bowl beat eggs, add sour cream and beat together. Blend in cottage cheese and melted butter, add sugar and salt, if used. Combine noodles and cheese mixture, place in a covered buttered dish, 12 x 7 inch or 10 inch square dish and bake for 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees. Remove cover last 25 minutes and brown slightly. (Recipe can be doubled and placed in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch dish.) |
