1 egg
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. shortening
2 c. flour
1/2 c. sour milk (vinegar)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. hot water
1 c. chocolate chips

Put all ingredients in order given. Do not mix until the last ingredients has been added. Beat well with spoon. Drop from tablespoon onto cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Do not over bake.
