6 to 7 medium apples, thinly sliced
1 c. granulated sugar
1/4 tsp. cloves or allspice
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 c. flour

Line 9-inch pan with pastry. Sprinkle with flour. Mix apples and seasonings. Put in crust. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.

Prepare topping mixture and sprinkle on pie.

TOPPING:

1/3 c. flour
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. butter

Chop together into crumb mixture. Return pie to oven for about 20 minutes.
