KOSHER DILL PICKLES 
1 peck cucumbers, med. size
1 c. Kosher coarse salt
1 c. vinegar (5% acidity)
1 gal. water
1/2 c. mixed spices
Garlic
Bay leaves
Dill

Wash cucumbers, dry thoroughly. Pack in clean, sterile jars. Add 3-4 garlic buds, 1 dill head and 1 bay leaf to each jar. Boil water, vinegar, salt and spices. Pour over cucumbers to cover. Seal jar. Will stay crisp all year.
