CAKE BROWNIES 
1/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
1/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 (1 oz.) sqs. unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
2/3 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. chopped nuts
2 stiffly beaten egg whites

Cream sugar and butter until fluffy, add yolks, milk and vanilla; beat well. Stir in melted chocolate, sift together dry ingredients and add to cream mixture. Mix well. Stir in nuts, fold in egg whites (whipped), turn into greased and floured 9 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes, cool and frost.

CHOCOLATE FROSTING:

Cream 2 tablespoons soft butter, 1/4 cup chocolate flavored malted milk, dash salt. Slowly beat in 1 cup powdered sugar, small amount light cream so it will spread.
