CAKE BROWNIES 
1/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
1/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate squares, melted & cooled
2/3 c. flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. nuts, chopped
2 egg whites, stiffly beaten

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, add egg yolks, milk and vanilla, beat well. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in nuts. Fold in egg whites. Put into 9"x9" greased and floured pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Frost with chocolate icing.
