TEXAS HOT SAUCE 
4 qts. chopped onions
4 lbs. hamburg
Sm. can chili powder
1/2 c. salt
3/4 c. red peppers
4 qts. water
2 qt. ketchup
4 (29 oz.) tomato puree

In a large pot add chopped onions, hamburg, chili powder, salt, red peppers and water. Mix with hands. Bring to full boil. Cook rapidly until thick 2 or 3 hours. Add tomato puree, ketchup and simmer 2 hours.
